Alias in Vint Hill Has Permanently Closed

The locally focused modern American eatery was among our 50 Best Restaurants of 2025.

Another Northern Virginia restaurant has closed its doors. Alias, a modern American eatery in Warrenton, served its last customers on January 18.

The Vint Hill restaurant posted a message on its website alerting visitors to the closure. “Alias is closing its doors January 18th 2026, after an unforgettable chapter,” the statement said. “What began as an idea evolved into a place shaped by passion, creativity, and the people who brought it to life. We are grateful for every guest, every memory made, and every laugh shared. Thank you for being part of it.”

Alias, located at 7150 Farm Station Rd., Warrenton, was one of Northern Virginia Magazine’s 50 Best Restaurants of 2025. It offered monthly tasting menus with a focus on fresh, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.

Opened in 2023, the restaurant was a venture from husband-and-wife duo Stephen and Kelly Burke and their business partner, Sharon Briskman. Briskman was the most recent owner, and Marc Valles took over as chef in late 2024.

Our food critics called out the Maine diver scallop crudo, the ginger-crusted Virginia rockfish, and Persian-spiced ground rabbit “spaghetti and meatballs” as menu standouts.

Northern Virginia Magazine reached out to Alias for a comment and will update this story with more information when it becomes available.
