A New Winery Is Coming to Fauquier County This Spring

Paris’ Ovoka Farm is adding a winery to its agritourism offerings in 2026.

Northern Virginia wine lovers are starting off 2026 on a high note. Ovoka Farm announced it will be opening a new winery, Ovoka Farm Winery, in Fauquier County.

The announcement from the Paris beef cattle farm comes just two months after the farm posted a teaser video on social media of the process of fermenting grapes.

“As we continue raising our Virginia F1 Wagyu with care, we’re expanding to include thoughtfully crafted wine, designed to pair with our beef, our land, and the moments shared here,” said Ovoka Farm in a recent Instagram post. “You’ll soon be able to enjoy Ovoka wines right here on our historic farm in Paris, Virginia.”

The first bottling at Ovoka Farm Winery is set for February, with the tasting room coming this spring.

While the farm will be adding a new winery, guests will still be able to find the agritourism experiences that have made Ovoka Farm a destination. The Paris farm currently offers farm tours, wagyu beef tastings, private tastings, and overnight stays at the Ovoka Manor home and cabin. In the future, these experiences will also feature the farm’s wines. Guests will also have the option to purchase bottles at the farm store.

Ovoka Farm was purchased by its current owner Karen Way in 2010 — but the property dates back to 1731 and was originally part of the 3,000-acre Robert “King” Carter land grant. Since taking over the farm, Way has been committed to sustainable F1 wagyu farming. Ovoka Farm has become well-known for its F1 and full-blood wagyu beef, which has been featured on dozens of menus, including at The Inn at Little Washington, Magnolias at the Mill, and Field & Main in Virginia; and in DC, at The Dabney and Bourbon Steak at the Four Seasons.
