Oasis: The Listening Bar in Arlington Offers Japanese Cuisine and High–Fidelity Music

This is the newest venture from the team behind Sisters Thai and Flore Café in Tysons.

Get ready, Arlington. Oasis: The Listening Bar opens its doors on August 21. And it promises a one-of-a-kind experience that blends upscale Japanese fusion cuisine with audiophile-quality sound.

A New Sanctuary

Spanning 4,000 square feet, Oasis features 100 seats, including a dedicated 40-seat sushi counter. It’s the newest venture from the Sisters Group, the team behind Sisters Thai and Flore Café in Tysons. The team was eager to develop a business in Arlington.

“We found it to be an ideal home for our concept,” says Jaturon Srirote, co-founder of Sisters Group. “Arlington, with its proximity to the capital and its vibrant community of young professionals, perfectly resonates with the fun, energetic, and welcoming atmosphere we aim to cultivate at Oasis.”

Its menu is wide-ranging, offering everything from soups and salads to crispy deep-fried starters and expertly grilled skewers. Its sushi program is equally impressive, featuring classic and specialty rolls, along with nigiri and sashimi selections.

“As Sisters Group, we consistently seek opportunities to venture beyond our comfort zone, and Japanese cuisine emerged as our next passion,” says Srirote. “Our primary consideration was to craft a menu that offers an exciting and enjoyable experience, particularly appealing to the dynamic, youthful demographic here in Arlington.”

The menu also includes hearty cooked entrees and flavorful sides, offering something for every palate. Complementing the cuisine is a carefully crafted beverage program that includes Japanese-inspired signature cocktails like the City Hunter and Fujii Kaze, along with a variety of sake flights and whiskey tastings.

“The Listening Bar is conceived as a sanctuary,” says Srirote. “Much like finding a liberating and joyful respite in the midst of a desert, we aim for every guest to experience a moment of unexpected delight and renewal through our harmonious blend of curated music, exceptional food and drinks and warm hospitality.”

From Café to Nighttime Destination

By day, Oasis operates as a sunlit cafe, complete with surfboards and vinyl records lining the walls. But come evening, the venue transforms into a sleek Japanese eatery and high-fidelity listening bar. Guests can enjoy handpicked DJ sets or occasional live performances, all played through a top-of-the-line sound system.

“Oasis is a destination for those who appreciate the finer things in life — from music enthusiasts and discerning foodies to sake and whisky connoisseurs,” says Srirote. “It’s a vibrant space designed for the young and the young at heart.”
