Flore Café, the drink and dessert bar located inside the Tysons branch of beloved local chain Sisters Thai, is already gaining attention for its bloom-bedecked decor. But on April 6, the hidden treasure will welcome guests for a new offering: high tea.
“Flore Café is more than just a café — it’s a destination,” says Tammie Disayawathana, co-founder of Sisters Thai, in a news release. “We are the only afternoon tea experience in the Washington, DC, area that blends European elegance with vibrant Thai flavors, offering a refined yet welcoming experience that celebrates our culinary heritage.”
That means Flore Café’s menu of delights pay tribute to Thailand while keeping the ceremony of Western high tea intact.
Flore Café’s Thai High Tea Offerings
Guests choose from teas curated by Bellocq Tea Atelier of Brooklyn. Most selections are named for its place of inspiration They include colorful Jardin Majorelle in Morocco (a mint and green tea, naturally). And lovely Siam Basil Lemongrass sips are infused with ginger and orange blossom. There are eight options to choose from that range from black teas to tisanes.

Flore Café’s Thai High Tea Food Offering
The food comes from the mind of Ukrainian-trained Clarity alum Oksana Chepoy. Offerings include both savory and sweet delights. Each Sunday, Chepoy will prepare a different set of two “Thai mystery bites” that feature seasonal ingredients. Among the roughly 12 elements on the overflowing trays, highlights include seared scallops, truffle-and-Parmesan gougères, pots de crèmes, and Dubai chocolate.
Guests can upgrade from the $79 high tea to the $89 signature experience. That includes everything mentioned above, as well as a glass of high-quality sparkling wine and a piece of lavender-honey or Champagne-rose petal scone. We can’t think of a better way to say goodbye to the weekend.
