NoVA restaurants including Ometeo, Andy’s Pizza, and King Street Oyster Bar are among the finalists for the 2025 RAMMYS awards. The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) announced the finalists on Monday.

“Each year, the RAMMYS shine a light on the incredible talent, resilience and creativity that define our region’s vibrant hospitality industry,” Shawn Townsend, president and CEO of RAMW said in a statement. “This year’s finalists represent the heart of our community — from innovative entrepreneurs to the teams that deliver outstanding experiences. We’re proud to celebrate their achievements and the vital role they play in making the Washington, DC, region a dining destination.”

NoVA RAMMYS Finalists

RAMW added a new category this year for Fast Casual Restaurant, and Andy’s Pizza is among the finalists. You can sample Andy’s New York–style pizzas at its locations in Fairfax, Tysons, and Old Town Alexandria. And a new Andy’s just opened this month in Ballston’s Virginia Square.

Two NoVA restaurants were among the finalists for Upscale Casual Restaurant of the Year. They include Tex-Mex restaurant Ometeo in Tysons, which landed at No. 7 on our 50 Best Restaurants list for 2024, and King Street Oyster Bar, which has locations in Leesburg and Middleburg.

Stellina Pizzeria, which serves up neo-Neapolitan style pies at multiple area locations, and American restaurant The Falls in Falls Church were both finalists for Casual Restaurant of the Year.

Arlington’s Queen Mother’s fried chicken restaurant is a finalist for Hottest Sandwich Spot of the Year.

Other NoVA finalists include Arlington’s Beauty Champagne and Sugar Boutique for Best Wine Program, and Rachel Sherriffe of Ellie Bird in Falls Church for Pastry Chef or Baker of the Year. Cici Yang of Yume Sushi in Arlington (one of our 50 Best Restaurants in 2024) and Téa Ivanovic of Immigrant Food, which has a location in Arlington, are both finalists for Restaurateur of the Year. Atlas Brew Works, with a location in Alexandria, and Astro Beer Hall, which has a location in Arlington, are up for Beer Program of the Year. French-inspired restaurant Josephine, located in Alexandria, was a finalist for Best Brunch of the Year.

Winners for all categories will be announced at the 43rd Annual RAMMYS Awards and Gala on August 3.
