Roggenart Looks to Open Bakery in Reston

The European-inspired bakery would be in a former Starbucks.

Roggenart Bakery, Bistro, and Café, which opened in Arlington earlier this year, plans to expand into Reston next year, in RTC West.

The European-inspired bakery sells flaky croissants, fruit-filled pastries, hearty breads, and sandwiches. It told FFX Now the new location will be at 12130A Sunset Hills Rd., which was previously a Starbucks.

Roggenart would share a building with Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant. A permit application for interior alterations has been filed in Fairfax County.

Earlier this month, the family-owned bakery opened its seventh location in Frederick, Maryland. Its other Maryland locations are in Baltimore, Columbia, Ellicott City, Savage Mill, and Towson. It also has a Chicago location.
