Do you follow restaurant openings like some people keep tabs on movie box office results? Lucky you, it’s time for the DMV’s restaurant Oscars. The RAMMYS, put on by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington are taking place on September 20.

This year, you can watch every moment of the award-ceremony excitement thanks to a livestream of the event from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Watch from 6 to 8 p.m. that night to see who will win, but also check out the assured awards. Fans of Great American Restaurants will be thrilled to see the company’s founder Randy Norton pick up the Duke Ziebert Capital Achievement Award for his 46 years in the industry.

Watching is great, but tasting the RAMMYS is even better. RAMW is ensuring that diners do just that with a delicious way to play along. From Sept. 11 through 18, any guest who visits three RAMMYS-nominated restaurant for take-out, dine-in or delivery can enter to win a prize pack of dining gift cards with a full value of $500. Diners who post photos of their meals from restaurants that are finalists for awards should use the Instagram handle @RAMWdc and #BestofRAMMYS in order to be automatically entered to win.
