Lovettsville’s Oktoberfest
September 26-28
The Town of Lovettsville hosts Oktoberfest: Beer taps at 10 a.m. while an Official Keg-Tapping Ceremony commences at noon, with dances, live music and various competitions continuing until late evening. Close-by restaurants including Andy’s of Lovettsville will be offering food specials. / Pennsylvania Ave., Lovettsville 

Mad Fox Brewing Company’s Hoppy Oktoberfest
September 27
The 4th annual, IPA-inspired Oktoberfest is free to attend but there is a $20 tasting fee to try up to 60 beers, nearly double the beers available last year. A fan-favorite voting contest enables participants to potentially win prizes. Live music and a Mad Fox menu will also be available. / 444 W. Broad St., Falls Church

Fort Belvoir Oktoberfest 
October 2-5
For Belvoir offers an opportunity to try three German beers on draft, a 5K race, authentic German food and live music. Kids activities are also available. / Fremont Field, Fort Belvoir, Fairfax

Capitol City Brewing Company’s Oktoberfest
October 4
Capitol City hosts its 15th annual Mid-Atlantic Oktoberfest at the Village at Shirlington. Admission is free, but for $30, taste beers from 60-plus breweries (including Capitol City’s Dr. Punkinstein), experience authentic German food and listen to live music. / 2700 S. Quincy St., Arlington

Oktoberfest Fredericksburg
October 4
Capital Ale House hosts its 11th annual Oktoberfest in downtown Fredericksburg. After an initial $3 cover fee, enjoy up to 100-plus craft and imported brews. Diverse German food will be paired with highlighted Virginia brews. Live music, German dance groups and kid’s activities are also included. / 917 Caroline St., Fredericksburg

Vienna Oktoberfest
October 4
Beer, wine, food, live music and shows, and children’s activities are just a few of the available experiences at Vienna’s Oktoberfest. Experience the tapping of the first keg at noon, a fashion show at 4 p.m. and a Chicken Dance Contest at 6:15. / Historic Church St., Vienna

Oktoberfest Reston
October 11-12
Held in Reston Town Center, this two-day event is the largest outdoor fall festival in Northern Virginia. Select beers on tap are available while close-by restaurants such as Clyde’s of Reston, Naked Pizza, Paolo’s Ristorante and Midtown Kabob will participate. / 11900 Market St., Reston

TrummerFest Pop Up Restaurant
September 16-October 30
Trummer’s on Main will provide a month-long opportunity to experience German food and drink. In honor of mixologist/owner and Austrian-raised Stefan Trummer the restaurant will transform its third floor into an Austrian Tavern for a unique Oktoberfest experience.
