Try new global flavors and comfort-food favorites at these shiny new spaces.

Winter may still have a grip on us, but Northern Virginia’s restaurant scene is heating up. Across the region, new eateries are opening their doors with global flavors, comfort-food favorites and shiny new spaces. From street-style tacos and cult-favorite pizzas to Yemeni coffee and sushi rolls, here are seven new restaurants to put on your radar this month.

Arlington

Eat More Taco

Eat More Taco serves Mexican-style street food with a twist, including tacos, burritos (wrapped or bowl-style) and signature specialties like Pizza Birria — slow-braised beef and melted cheese on a crisped crust. Dive into can’t-miss classics like carne asada or branch out with creative shrimp tacos brimming with peppers, onions, and gooey cheese. Your meal isn’t complete without crispy churros or a Nutella empanada. 708 N. Glebe Rd., Arlington

Tony Boloney’s

The cult-favorite pizzeria and cheesesteak shop that started in Atlantic City has officially hit the DMV. Tony Boloney’s brings its over-the-top menu and Shark Tank buzz to NoVA. Expect fan favorites like Mad Mutz sticks, loaded cheesesteaks, barbarian fries, and pizzas sold by the slice or whole pie. 700 N. Moore St., Arlington

Ashburn

Haraz Coffee House

Ashburn’s newest caffeine destination gives local coffee lovers a taste of Yemen. Think spiced lattes, crafted espresso drinks, and refreshing cold brews that nod to coffee traditions from the Arabian Peninsula, all served in a cozy, modern space. 43780 Parkhurst Plz., Ashburn

Halal Munchies

Halal Munchies serves up a mix of comfort classics like juicy burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, rice platters, gyros and more — all prepared according to halal standards. A diverse menu with tempting dishes makes Halal Munchies a promising spot for everything from casual lunches to late-night cravings. 20064 Riverside Commons Plz., Ashburn

Chantilly

Taco Zocalo

A beloved local Mexican favorite expands in Chantilly, bringing its signature street-style tacos and hearty Latin fare. Taco Zócalo got its start as a food truck before maturing into a neighborhood go-to for classics like birria tacos, burritos, quesadillas and more, all made with freshly sourced ingredients and rich, traditional flavors. 13938 Route 50, Chantilly

Noku Sushi

Noku Sushi — the sprawling sushi, hibachi, and ramen hotspot from the Village at Leesburg — has opened a sleek new outpost at Reston Row Plaza. Think of it as a stylish, one-stop shop for Japanese comfort food cravings: artfully rolled specialty sushi, sizzling hibachi plates, colorful poke bowls, crispy katsu, and steaming bowls of ramen and udon. 1800 Reston Row Plz., #120, Reston

Fast-casual favorite Sweetgreen has a new outpost at Pike 7 Plaza in Tysons, adding another go-to for fresh, produce-forward fare in the neighborhood. The modern space serves signature customizable salads and warm bowls chock full of seasonal greens, roasted vegetables, and protein-packed toppings. It’s a convenient, health-conscious option that’s easy on the wallet. 8405 Leesburg Pike, Tysons
