Virginia ABC Releases Drunk Raccoon Cocktail Recipes

You can now buy merch featuring the infamous raccoon, too.

The raccoon that broke into an Ashland ABC store is having a viral moment. And it turns out his internet fame is far from over. Virginia ABC is now getting in on the fun, releasing specialty cocktail recipes inspired by the raccoon’s drunken escapade.

Virginia ABC released three cleverly named cocktails — Rye Rascal Sour, Midnight Masked Gin Fizz, and Trash Panda Old Fashioned — that are sure to liven up holiday gatherings.

“Following the sober ride home for our woodland friend, Virginia ABC employees discovered three surprisingly delicious recipe recommendations,” Virginia ABC posted on Facebook. “Whether you’re craving tangy, scrappy or sparkly mischief, these creations deliver full woodland chaos in a glass.”

They’re not the only ones getting in on the fun. Hanover County posted the raccoon’s Spotify Wrapped results, showing his top song as “Trash Panda” by Ray Wyatt. Hanover County Animal Protection and Shelter is selling “Trashed Panda” merchandise inspired by the encounter with the raccoon.

In just one day, the animal shelter was able to raise more than $100,000 through shirt and sweatshirt sales alone. It added a tumbler to its shop in response. All proceeds go toward shelter animal care and enrichment, field officer training, and equipment needed for wildlife calls.
