10 Places to Order Delicious Thanksgiving Pies in Northern Virginia

Local bakeries are serving up seasonal sweetness — but you’ll need to order early to snag your favorite flavors.

By Dawn Klavon October 31, 2025 at 7:30 am

Pumpkin, pecan, apple, or chocolate cream — however you slice it, Thanksgiving pie cannot be missed. Skip the stress of baking and order ahead from one of these local favorites. Just be sure to mark your calendar — many shops sell out well before the big day.

Pie Gourmet

This beloved Vienna staple is known for its rich, buttery crusts and classic fillings. Choose from holiday favorites like pecan bourbon or sweet potato, or savory flavors like chicken pot pie and veggie pot pie. All orders must be placed by November 18. 507 Maple Ave. W, Vienna

Randolph’s Pastries

Randolph’s is a neighborhood gem turning out European-inspired pastries and timeless holiday pies. Expect elegant desserts with perfectly balanced sweetness; it will be what everyone at the table is raving about. 4500 Lee Hwy., Arlington

Mom’s Apple Pie

Mom’s Apple Pie uses local fruit and old-fashioned recipes that have earned cult status across the region. The signature apple pie is a must, but the chocolate pecan runs a close second. 220 Loudoun St. SE, Leesburg

Alexandria Pastry Co

This family-run bakery blends Old World technique with modern flair. The pies are buttery, fragrant, and beautifully finished — the kind you’ll be proud to serve (and reluctant to share). 3690 King St., Alexandria

Livin’ The Pie Life

This cheerful Arlington bakery turns out some of the region’s most indulgent pies — from salted caramel apple to chocolate chess.  Pre-orders for Wednesday, November 26, and Tuesday, November 27, are already sold out. But there is good flavor availability on other dates with most flavors still in stock. Consider ordering that week and freezing your pie for Thanksgiving — it will still be delicious. 2166 N. Glebe Rd., Arlington
