Dessert-Tasting Festival Cakechella Is Coming to Bluemont

Get your fill of sweet treats from Northern Virginia bakers on November 9.

By Erica Moody September 9, 2025 at 7:00 am

Just in time for the holiday season, dessert-tasting experience Cakechella 2025 will introduce you to the region’s best bakers and treat-makers you might not know about yet. The sweet event is set for November 9 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Bluemont Station Brewery & Winery.

Expect yummy treats like cakes, cookies, and ice cream, plus a wedding cake showcase. Many bakers will be accepting pre-orders, an easy way to line up holiday treats in advance.

At least 26 sweets vendors have been confirmed, including many home-based bakeries and family-owned shops such as Sweet Gratitude Bakehouse, Lucy Q’s Cakery & Candy Shoppe, Home Baked By Eva, Grusha Bakes, MKZKookies, and The Gilded Lily Bakeshop. Gluten-free treats will be available.

This family-friendly event also promises live music, demonstrations, kids’ entertainment, a cookie-themed photo booth, and doggie desserts.

General admission tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under. More announcements will be shared on Cakechella’s website (where tickets can be purchased) and on its Facebook page ahead of the occasion.
