Flavor Update: We’ve Rounded Up 9 New Restaurants in NoVA

Summer is in full swing. And Northern Virginia’s dining scene is turning up the heat with a wave of exciting new restaurant openings. From comfortable neighborhood bakeries to upscale French concepts pushing culinary boundaries, the region is serving up plenty of reasons to explore a new dining destination. Whether you’re craving tangy barbeque, Asian noodle fare, or spicy tacos, these July newcomers promise something to savor.

Arlington 

Tous les Jours 

The global French‑Asian bakery chain has just landed in Pentagon City, offering an array of freshly baked pastries, cakes, breads, and specialty coffee and tea. Expect oodles of high-quality Asian-inspired indulgences in a bright, modern setting. 1100 S. Hayes St., Ste. H10, Arlington 

1983 Chinese Cuisine 

A new dim‑sum‑focused Cantonese restaurant at Westport shopping center serves up favorites like shrimp dumplings, turnip cake, congee, and salt-and-pepper calamari. Order main dishes in addition to dim-sum at this eatery named after 1983, the year of the water pig, symbolizing luck and money. 1101 S. Joyce St., Arlington 

Ashburn 

Addy’s Barbecue 

Fusion barbecue fans have a new hangout in Ashburn with Addy’s Barbecue, which blends flavors from East Africa, Asia, Europe, and the states into dishes like mishkaki, saucy wings, beef ribs and burgers, plus fun sides like mac and cheese and bubble tea. Fairfax 

Meet Rice Noodle 

This freshly opened Chinese restaurant in Fairfax focuses on authentic rice noodle soups, with highlights like tomato beef and braised beef bowls, as well as Taiwanese popcorn chicken and crispy dumplings. 10698 Fairfax Blvd., Fairfax 

Falls Church 

Honoo Ramen & Bar 

Newly opened in Falls Church, this sleek Japanese eatery offers savory slow‑cooked broths, house‑made noodles, sushi rolls, yakitori skewers, and small plates. With casual, contemporary vibes, it’s a solid new spot for ramen lovers, bringing hints of Tokyo to Falls Church. 153 W. Falls Station Blvd., Falls Church 

Leesburg 

Paris Baguette  

Now the second Loudoun County location of this bakery cafe, Paris Baguette is open at the Shops at Russell Branch, serving Lavazza coffee alongside decadent French Asian pastries, breads, and cakes. 135 Robinson Mill Plaza NE, Ste. 100, Leesburg

Sterling 

Brasserie Royale  

From the team at acclaimed Local Provisions comes a new Parisian‑style brasserie in Cascades Marketplace, serving classic French fare like escargot, steak frites, chilled shellfish, and freshly baked breads. With an upscale, elegant atmosphere, it aims to cater to both special occasion dining and neighborhood, casual French cafe meals. Plaza Mexico 

This Maryland‑based Mexican eatery opened its first Virginia location at Dulles Landing, bringing colorful decor and hearty, traditional dishes like quesadillas, fajitas, nachos, and churros to Loudoun diners. 24560 Dulles Landing Dr., Ste . 140, Sterling
