Edible Outtakes: Noteworthy bites, sips and sundry

This month try an Indian lunch special inside a grocery store, s’mores in the oven and a nebbiolo from Italy’s Piedmont region.

Though Punjabi By Nature now has three locations, I’m still a fan of the food court operation inside Lotte Plaza Market in Chantilly. The lunch special, a platter of shahi paneer, dal makhani, mint-cilantro chutney, rice and naan for $10.99, is abundant and as delicious as any found at a proper sit-down restaurant.

Broiling s’mores indoors is a superb alternative to the otherwise fireside treat.

This seaweed salad isn’t good just because it’s inside the closest grocery store to my house, Streets Market & Cafe’s seaweed salad is just actually good.

It’s citrus season and I need this reamer by Philippe Starck for Alessi in a bad way.

The short rib pho French dip from The Block’s Balo Kitchen dares fusion food naysayers to shut up and lick that bone clean.

I can’t lie, I already miss pumpkin spice lattes.
