The question may have come up in your home: Should we spend the money for a board game the kids might not like? Three Fairfax County libraries are taking the guessing out of that question by letting you borrow board games.
You can try out the games for three weeks and even renew, if other library patrons haven’t requested the games. They are available at the following library branches:
Twelve games are available, with most geared toward people who are at least 8 years old. Three are for younger players.
Games for younger players include Chess (for ages 6+), Wits & Wagers Family Edition (for ages 6+) and Zingo! (for ages 4+).
The board games geared toward players who are at least 8 include the following:
- Blank Slate
- Fluxx
- Telestrations
- Ticket to Ride
Here are the the board games for players who are at least 10:
- 7 Wonders
- Catan
- Codenames
- Disney Villainous
- Point Salad
