Was your kid’s summer camp canceled? Adventure Links’ CampCloud can help

The Clifton-based summer camp program may just be exactly what parents (and their children) need to get through the summer.

By Holly Gambrell June 25, 2020 at 1:48 pm

The pandemic is having a myriad of effects on everyday life, including summer plans, which means many kids across the region this year will not be heading to in-person summer camps.

But, many virtual options are being created to help kids have fun and learn new skills, even during the COVID-19 era. One of these programs is called CampCloud, being hosted by American Camp Association-accredited and Clifton-based Adventure Links. Being offered Mondays through Fridays, for children aged 6 to 15, the virtual summer programs are available with Zoom calls, as well as off-screen adventures.

Each day, kids will engage in six activities, leaving parents more time to focus on working from home. CampCloud is designed to allow for off-screen activities during, before or after the camp hours, with the on-screen time intentionally built to facilitate connection between campers and the staff.

Camps currently open for registration include “Pet Camp,” “Camp Adventure,” “Our Wild World,” “Suburban Survival,” “Humanity Island” and “Harry Potter: O.W.L.S.”
