In a battle that went down to final Jeopardy!, Arlington attorney Luigi de Guzman advanced in the quarterfinals of the show’s Tournament of Champions. The show aired Thursday night.
The 43-year-old attorney was the only contestant to answer final Jeopardy! correctly.
He knew that Eurostar was the name of the service that began November 14,1994 that echoes Etoile du Nord, which linked Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam from 1927.
De Guzman will now be among the nine contestants to compete for the tournament’s $250,000 grand prize.
He faced Silver Spring, Maryland’s Kevin Belle and Juveria Zaheer, a psychiatrist from Ontario, Canada.
De Guzman first appeared on the quiz show in July 2022 and racked up $142,700 in his five wins, according to the show’s tracker.
