After WMATA expressed concerns over the development and construction of the Silver Line extension into Loudoun County this week, Fairfax County has come out in support of the organization, even if it means a later opening for the Silver Line extension next year. Concerns have been raised over the rock supporting tracks in the rail yard, concrete panels framing stations and improperly installed switches. (WTOP)
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention recently announced that there were three diagnoses of lung illnesses relating to the use of electronic cigarettes in Virginia, and Loudoun County Public Schools have followed suit by taking steps to inform students and parents about potential risks of vaping.
