Caps Bobblehead Fundraiser Feeds Heroes on the Front Lines

Buy this Braden Holtby bobblehead to do your part in supporting the local medical community and the fight against COVID-19.

By Katie Bianco July 22, 2020 at 3:59 pm

In Game 2 of the fabled 2018 Stanley Cup Final, Washington Capitals goalie Braden Holtby made a stick save on an open-net shot against the Vegas Golden Knights, preventing the Knights from tying up the game with only two minutes remaining. The famous move went on to be known as “The Save” and now fans can commemorate the memorable Stanley Cup moment with a special-edition autographed bobblehead that will also help fund the local fight against COVID-19.

Proceeds from the bobblehead, available here for $250, will go toward the Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) Foundation’s “Feeding the Frontlines” fund, which provides meals to front-line medical personnel. The fund and the foundation are supported by all MSE teams, including the Capitals, Mystics, Wizards and Go-Go and District Gaming. The funds raised go toward food deliveries to multiple hospitals and testing sites in DC.

While fans won’t be returning to the Capital One Arena soon, they can still relish that Caps energy with the Braden bobblehead. Fans can buy his autographed bobblehead ($250), as well as an autographed bobblehead of radio play-by-play voice John Walton ($100), or make a donation of $20, $50 or $100 here.
