Emo music lovers are in luck: My Chemical Romance will perform at Nats Park next year. The band brings The Black Parade Tour to the DC venue on Tuesday, August 18.
Tickets to the concert go on sale this Friday, September 26. Modest Mouse is the planned opening act.
My Chemical Romance was founded in 2001 and released its first album, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, in 2002. It gained widespread fandom for its 2006 album, The Black Parade with the single “Welcome to the Black Parade.”
The band announced its breakup in 2013 and then its reunion 2019. My Chemical Romance headlined the Las Vegas When We Were Young Festival in 2024 and then announced it would be launching its Long Live The Black Parade stadium tour, which kicked off this July in Seattle.
The band resumes touring next year in South America, Asia, Mexico, and Europe before returning to the states in August. DC is one of two Mid-Atlantic cities on the 2026 tour schedule; the band will play New York’s Citi Field on August 9.
