Fairfax City Restaurant Week Kicks Off August 22

Find deals at your favorite restaurants — and take advantage of the special offers to try new ones.

Yet another restaurant week is offering diners in Northern Virginia a chance to sample some of the region’s eateries at discounted rates. Fairfax City’s Restaurant Week starts August 22 and runs until August 31.

During the promotion, 30 restaurants will offer prix fixe menus at $25 for brunch or lunch and $40 for dinner. Some specialty restaurants will offer a two for $10 deal.

“Summer Restaurant Week gives us a reason to break out of our dining routine and try something new,” said Fairfax City Mayor Catherine Read. This is Fairfax City’s fourth Summer Restaurant Week; it has held eight Winter Restaurant Weeks.

Here are some of the deals you’ll find:

Bellissimo Restaurant will have two prix fixe dinner options: one for $65 with entree options like lobster tail fra-diavola or duck breast al porto, and a $40 option with entrees like crabmeat ravioli and chicken parmesan.

Dolce Vita Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar will offer entrees like branzino or melanzane al forno, plus an appetizer and a dessert, in its $40 dinner deal.

Draper’s Steak & Seafood will have a $40 dinner with entree options like grilled salmon or a 10-ounce New York strip, plus a $25 lunch.

Milk and Honey will offer a $25 lunch with a chicken sandwich as the main. For dinner, at $40 for three courses, the entree is fried or blackened catfish.

Ned’s New England Deck has a three-course dinner for $40, featuring a starter like clam chowder or lobster bisque, a main like lobster or crab rolls, and a dessert. A two-course lunch option is also available for $25.

The Auld Shebeen’s $40 dinner gives diners the choice of soup or salad, an entree, a dessert, and either a draft beer or an Irish coffee.

Yanzi Noodle House offers either luosifen (a rice noodle dish) or a Chinese burrito for lunch, with a selection of sides and a crispy crullet for dessert.

A full list of participating restaurants is available online.
