Where to Go Skydiving Near Northern Virginia

Embrace your inner adrenaline junkie at these destinations.

Maybe skydiving is on your bucket list. Or perhaps you’ve already tried it and are hooked on the adrenaline rush. Either way, here are some skydiving locations within an easy drive on Northern Virginia. And we’ve added some nearby places to eat and stay.

Skydive Front Royal

There’s nothing more breathtaking than being in the air high above the Shenandoah Valley, Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah River. Skydive Front Royal is locally owned and operated, and safety is their utmost priority, along with making sure every tandem skydive is the adrenaline rush it deserves to be. 229 Stokes Airport Rd., Front Royal

Osteria Maria

Skydive Orange

Skydive Orange offers the biggest airplanes in Virginia and friendly, experienced instructors using state-of-the-art parachute equipment. First time jumpers and veteran skydivers are welcome. 11269 Hangar Rd., Orange

Holladay House
Built in 1830 with just six guest rooms, Holladay House fills up fast. There are also lots of specials to take advantage of throughout the year. 155 W. Main St., Orange

Skydive Shenandoah

Be paired with a United States Parachute Association rated tandem instructor as you see views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah Valley, and historic battlegrounds. After an initial freefall, the instructor deploys a parachute for a scenic five-to-seven-minute ride back to the landing zone. 57 River Rd., New Market

iSkydive is part of a nationwide business with locations in Miami, Los Angeles, Dallas, and others. The DC location is in Midland and offers tandem skydiving. Manager Randy has done nearly 10,000 skydives. 5075 Airport Rd., Midland
