With the lead-up to Valentine’s (and Galentine’s) Day, plus the excitement of Super Bowl LIX, this weekend is bound to be a good one. Whether you want to take your partner or Galentine to a wine and chocolate tasting, or you want to take your furry friend to a doggy festival, NoVA is overflowing with fun weekend events.  

Free Comedy Night 

February 7, 7:30–10:30 p.m. 

Get ready to laugh away the stress from the week with great food and hilarious comedians such as Adrian Russell, Anna Huntley, and Jon Yeager. Tandoori Fairfax: 10312 Willard Way, Fairfax, free 

Paint Loudoun Red 

February 7, 7–9 p.m. 

The Loudoun County Divine Nine Sororities are helping to raise and spread awareness in the fight against heart disease and strokes in women across the nation. Dress in red and get ready to show your moves with Zumba, line dancing, and more fun and heart-friendly physical activities. Douglass Community Center: 407 E. Market St., Leesburg, free

NOVA Kids Camp Fair 

February 8, 10 a.m.–1 p.m. 

Don’t stress about what camps to put your kids in during the summer, they’ll find one that fits them in a fun-filled day of arts and crafts, face painting, open Lego play, and more. Talk with more than 25 camp representatives about finding the right camp for your child, all while enjoying complimentary hot chocolate. I Love My Dog Festival 

February 8, 1–6 p.m. 

Give your pup a day to remember at Shipgarten, with an abundance of homemade treats, a play park, and a special dog menu. Participate in doggy games for the chance to win prizes, save the moment in a photo booth, and sample from more than 40 beers and ciders. Shipgarten: 7581 Colshire Dr., McLean, free 

The Snare Doctors 

February 8, 2–4 p.m. 

Take a day and learn the ins-and-outs of snares from industry professionals in this all-level inclusive course by drummers, for drummers. Get tips and tricks, participate in fun activities and blindfold tests, and have the chance to bring in your own snare for treatment. Community Wine Tasting 

February 8, 2–5 p.m. 

Sample some of the best Black-owned and produced wine and beers all February, with community tastings at The Urban Grape every Thursday and Saturday. Socialize with other enthusiasts, try new and different kinds of wine from around the world, and save 10 percent if you make a purchase during the tastings. Cupid’s Bar Crawl 2025 

February 8, 2–10 p.m. 

Get cover-free access to some of Dupont’s best bars, with food and drink specials such as $4 Bud Lights, rail drinks, and Cupid shots. Art in the Attic 

February 8, 6–10 p.m.

Super Bowl Parties

February 9, times vary

Watch the Eagles and the Chiefs play the biggest football game of the year at watch parties around Northern Virginia. Bars and breweries like Crystal City Sports Pub, Lark Brewing Co., and more will host fun events to get you in the football spirit. Locations vary

Poses and Puppy Bowl at the Winery at La Grange 

February 9, 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. 

Unwind with a relaxing 45-minute all-levels yoga session as lovable rescue dogs and puppies roam and provide plenty of support. Afterward, there will be a 15-minute “snuggasana” and a complimentary glass of wine. Stick around to watch the “Kibble Krew” take on the “Wet Nose Nation” at the winery, with the chance to give the puppies head and belly rubs during timeouts. Guided Wine and Chocolate Tasting

Ultimate Tailgate Experience 

February 9, 3–10 p.m. 

Grab your friends and family and enjoy Super Bowl Sunday with Sugar Rim Bar. Encapsulating the vibrant aura of Mardi Gras, all your necessities for game day are covered, from an open bar, buffet, DJ, games, and even cigars for purchase.
