34 Bars and Restaurants in NoVA and DC to Watch the Commanders Playoff Game

After winning their first playoff game in nearly 20 years, watch the Commanders take on their next foe.

Updated January 16, 2025. After a nail-biting upset last weekend, the Washington Commanders are on to the next round of the NFL playoffs. Up next for the hometown team is a Divisional Playoff matchup on Saturday night against the Detroit Lions, the No. 1 team in the NFC East. And, with Commanders fever spreading across the region, even more watch parties are popping up to help cheer the team on to victory.

Here are five Northern Virginia bars hosting special Commanders watch parties on Saturday night, and 29 more across NoVA and DC where you can catch the game among fellow fans.

Bear Branch Tavern

This watch party is not to be missed. Hosted by members of the Vienna VA Foodies Facebook group, Bear Branch Tavern is your go-to Commanders watch party destination. The tavern will have food and drink specials, while the hosts are throwing together a few raffle items to give away throughout the evening. 133 Maple Ave. E., Vienna

Honor Brewing Company

Grab a seat at the bar as you join the team at 106.7 The Fan for plenty of pre-game fun. The radio station will be broadcasting live at the brewery starting at 6 p.m. Once the game starts, settle in front of the 25-foot projector screen for a massive view of the game. Attendees can also purchase $5 classic lite pints throughout the game. 42604 Trade West Dr., Ste. 170, Sterling

Lark Brewing Co.

It’ll be hard to beat the atmosphere at last week’s party, but the staff and fans at Lark Brewing are ready to take on the challenge. The bar will be offering $5 off appetizers to honor Commanders’ leader and rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels (aka JD5). 24205 James Monroe Hwy., Aldie

Old Ox Brewery

Raise Hail all night long with members of the Redskins Alumni Marching Band. The band will be playing the fight song live every time the Commanders score. The watch party will also be serving up $5 pints of Ernest and half-off shareables. The bar will be open until the game is over. 44652 Guilford Dr., Ste. 114, Ashburn

The Block

The Annandale bar is getting in on the playoff fun. When you visit the bar on Saturday, make sure to wear a jersey to get a free pint. If your team is lucky enough to come out victorious, you’ll get a second pint on the house. 4221 John Marr Dr., Annandale
