Where To Get Your Thanksgiving Meal To-Go in NoVA

Skip the trouble in the kitchen this holiday by ordering your turkey and sides ahead of time.

For the average home chef, juggling cooking a turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and the rest of the Thanksgiving dishes can be downright draining. Why not enlist a little help from your culinary friends at some of NoVA’s finest dining establishments? We found a heaping helping of restaurants ready to save you from being chained to your stove. Pull up a chair and order part — or all — of your Thanksgiving feast from the pros.  

Alexandria Restaurant Partners  

This NoVA restaurant group is offering a decadent Thanksgiving dinner that includes a whopping 20-to 22-pound apple-cider-glazed turkey with sage gravy, sides of brioche stuffing, praline-baked sweet potatoes, ratatouille, corn maque choux, garlic mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and a pumpkin or pecan pie with whipped cream. Orders can be picked up on Wednesday, November 27, at Vola’s Dockside Grill. 101 N. Union St., Alexandria, $279, serves six to 12

Ambar Clarendon 

Ambar’s Thanksgiving special includes generous portions of roasted turkey with garlic butter and rosemary, gravy, cranberry chutney, truffle mashed potatoes, and brussels sprouts. On the side, there’s cornbread; creamy pumpkin soup with wild mushrooms, Parmesan cheese, and pumpkin seeds; and a poached pear salad with pomegranate dressing, caramelized figs, pecans, and blue cheese. Finish strong with raspberry and chocolate cake. Order by November 26 for pickup November 28. 2901 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, $89.99, serves two  

American Prime Co. 

Delight in your choice of a smoked whole turkey dinner, prime rib, or ham. The turkey comes with cranberry sauce, gravy, stuffing, green beans, and mashed potatoes. The restaurant’s signature 7-pound smoked prime rib dinner comes with au jus, mashed potatoes, horseradish, and green beans. The honey-glazed ham meal includes mashed potatoes, stuffing, glaze, and green beans. Orders must be placed by November 21 for pickup November 28. 1420 Spring Hill Rd., McLean, $150–$360

Capital Grille 

Leave the cooking of side dishes to the experts, with savory sides, brioche sage stuffing, French green beans with ginger butter, cranberry-pear chutney, mashed potatoes, seeded rolls, and housemade gravy. Order by November 26 for pickup November 27 and 28. 1861 International Dr., Tysons; 12169 Fair Lakes Promenade Dr., Fairfax, $135, serves four to six 

Cracker Barrel 

Heat-and-serve feasts at this Southern-style chain restaurant feed either four to six or eight to ten, and they include oven-roasted turkey breasts, cornbread dressing, turkey gravy, cranberry relish, sweet potato casserole with pecans, green beans, mashed potatoes, sweet yeast rolls, and classic pumpkin pie and pecan pie. Pickup November 23 to December 1, with 24-hour notice. Multiple area locations, $115 for four to six servings, $180 for eight to 10 servings 

Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse 

Bring a Davio’s Thanksgiving meal home for the family. The dinner features oven-roasted Vermont free-range turkey, Yukon Gold creamy potatoes, butternut squash, asparagus, creamy cipollini onions, and challah bread herb stuffing. You can also indulge in a variety of pies including apple, pumpkin, or pecan topped with Chantilly cream for an additional $15 per slice. Order by November 26 at 5 p.m. for pickup anytime on November 27 or before 11 a.m. on November 28. 1902 Reston Metro Plz., Reston, $65 per person

Founding Farmers 

Founding Farmers has holiday meals down to a science. Order online from a carefully curated at-home menu and pick up your order at one of its multiple locations. The full meal for four includes an entree, classic sides, plus breads, soup or salad, and a dessert. Entree options include raw, ready-to-roast turkey, salmon, and prime rib, or pre-cooked options of a veggie loaf or baked ham. Order by November 22 for pickup November 27 or 28. Multiple area locations, $159–$249, serves four  

Joon

Two-time James Beard Award–semifinalist chef Chris Morgan cooks up a spatchcocked brined and roasted turkey with a variety of side dishes such as cardamom spiced sweet potato casserole with brown butter streusel. A la carte desserts are also available, including a bruleed pumpkin spiced custard tart. Order by noon on November 24 and pickup on November 27. 8045 Leesburg Pk., Ste. 120, Vienna, $280, serves six

L’Auberge Chez Francois 

L’Auberge Chez Francois’ meal includes roasted turkey, giblet gravy, chestnut and pork stuffing, housemade cranberry relish, sauteed brussels sprouts, candied sweet potatoes, eight multigrain rolls, and bibelskais, an Alsatian style cottage cheese spread. Also enjoy a 10-inch holiday pumpkin mousse gateau with whipped cream and sweet orange zest. Wine pairings are available for an additional charge. Order by November 21 for pickup November 28. 332 Springvale Rd., Great Falls, $489, serves eight 

Lebanese Taverna  

Lebanese Taverna offers a la carte selections for Thanksgiving, with a Lebanese twist. Choose from lamb, turkey, or chicken, and add sides like roasted za’atar potatoes, arnabeet, mujaddara, and bulghur pilaf. Try a pistachio cheesecake for dessert. Pickup November 27. Multiple area locations, prices vary 

Lechonera DMV 

Dig into this Puerto Rican restaurant’s appealing take on Thanksgiving dinner. The rotisserie meats — pork, turkey, or prime rib (for an additional fee) — are the focal point of the holiday meals, alongside as salads, rice with pigeon peas, root vegetable succotash, sauces, and pumpkin or traditional tembleque for dessert. Pickup November 28. 1325 Old Bridge Rd., Woodbridge, $150 for four servings, $280 for eight servings  

Seasons 52  

A delicious Thanksgiving dinner to feed four to six people includes field greens salad, roasted turkey with savory pan gravy, mashed potatoes, herb stuffing, green beans, mashed sweet potatoes, and cranberry relish. Dessert includes six pumpkin pie “mini-indulgences” that include pumpkin mousse, pumpkin cake, whipped cream, and gingersnap cookies. Pickup on November 27. 7863L Tysons Corner Ctr., Ste. N11L, McLean, $230, serves four to six  

Sfoglina Pasta House 

At Sfoglina, a Thanksgiving takeout box is available for pickup on November 27. It includes warm rosemary bread, arugula and parmesan salad, mushroom and sage tortellini, a traditional herb-roasted turkey, and pumpkin torta for dessert. 1100 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, $150, serves two  

The Black Sheep 

Black Sheep offers three meal options: turkey, ham, or lamb. There’s an assortment of fresh salads and sides like truffle mashed potatoes, roasted root vegetables, honey roasted sweet potato mash, pecan and caramelized onion brown butter green beans, and focaccia stuffing with bacon. Choose from a variety of pies and cake for dessert. Pickup November 26 or 27. 9935 Discovery Blvd., Manassas, $195–$275, serves four 

The Fresh Market 

The Fresh Market has you covered this holiday season, with complete meals and a la carte options. Turkey, ham, potatoes, vegetables, prime rib, rack of lamb, and beyond are available for order. The “Ultimate Holiday Meal,” which serves up to 14 people, includes a turkey, ham, and sides such as mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, and more. Online ordering ends November 26 at 2 p.m. Pickup November 25–28. 150 Branch Rd., Vienna, $199, serves 12–14 

Wegmans  

Hand-carved turkey dinners for a small group or large crowd are available for order. Signature ham dinners are also available, as well as prepared sides and traditional desserts. Available November 23 to 28, with 24-hour notice. Multiple area locations, $118 for six servings, $208 for 12 servings 

Whole Foods  

Beginning October 30, order a lavish Thanksgiving spread from Whole Foods and plan to pick it up between November 22 and 28. Turkeys are on the menu, as well as decadent sides and tempting desserts. Multiple area locations
