Over 100 Pumpkins Will Light Up Franconia at Annual Pumpkin IllumiNIGHT

Each year, families gather at Nalls Produce & Garden Center to create this one-of-a-kind jack-o-lantern display.

The region is full of fall traditions, whether it’s taking an annual visit to one of the pumpkin patches or finding the best fall treats. But, one of the most iconic traditions is Nalls Produce & Garden Center’s annual Pumpkin IllumiNIGHT.

Each year, the family-owned business invites pumpkin lovers and families to help light up Beulah Street following Halloween by adding their own carved pumpkins to its jack-o-lantern display. The drive-by display is expected to feature over 100 pumpkins.

There are two ways to have your jack-o-lanterns included in the annual display. The first option: Carve it at Nalls. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, the garden center will provide pumpkins and tools to carve your very own masterpiece. Guests can carve as many pumpkins as they like.

The second option is to pick up a pumpkin at Nalls on Friday, October 31, to carve at home. Once complete, return your pumpkin by 4 p.m. on Saturday for it to be included in the display.

Once the sun sets and the darkness settles on November 1 and 2, the drive-by jack-o-lantern display illuminates the street outside of Nalls. The tradition is free to participate in and attend. 7310 Beulah St., Alexandria
