These four vineyards are hosting outdoor dinners to celebrate the fall harvest.

The fall harvest season is in full swing, and some area wineries are celebrating the occasion with special harvest dinners. At these events, guests are treated to a hearty meal often utilizing fresh, in-season produce, plus pairings of local wines, all in the crisp autumn air. Here are four NoVA-area wineries hosting dinners this month.

2024 Fall Harvest BBQ Dinner at Pearmund Cellars

October 5, 6–9 p.m.

Beckon a new season with one last barbecue at Pearmund Cellars. This dinner features salmon, pork loin, smoked chicken, and sides, plus a special oyster and wine pairing. Listen to music and play lawn games. Plus, you can get some insider tips for the best way to smoke a turkey. 6190 Georgetown Rd., Broad Run, $70

Terroir to Table: Harvest Wine Dinner in the Vineyard at Lost Creek Winery

October 11, 6–9 p.m.

Lost Creek hosts a festive wine dinner at the site of its old property in Lucketts. Expect a family-style dinner with farm-to-table cuisine, set within the vineyards. The dinner includes several dishes with wine pairings, including an apple fennel salad, whole fish, prime rib, spaghetti squash, and a pumpkin tiramisu to finish. Venue at Spinks Ferry: 43277 Spinks Ferry Rd., Leesburg, $150

Autumn Dinner in the Vines at Fox Meadow Winery

October 12, 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy a dinner outside, seated by Fox Meadows’ Cabernet Franc vines. Live music, candlelight, and stunning mountain views set the scene for this special meal. There are four courses, beginning with a starter of cherry bourbon drummettes, followed by a salad with fig and butternut squash, a bacon-wrapped pinwheel filet stuffed with Virginia ham, and an apple caramel blossom pastry for dessert. Each course is paired with one of the vineyard’s wines. 3310 Freezeland Rd., Linden, $150

Harvest Dinner at Arterra Wines

October 26, 6:30–9 p.m.

Head to Delaplane for a cozy harvest dinner with Arterra Wines. This three-course dinner curated by Nomad Provisions pairs with selections from the winery’s exclusive new-release wines. The meal includes a squash bisque, a smoked pork loin, and a butterscotch pudding. Diners can opt for the suggested wine pairings or choose a selection from the menu. Wine is not included in the ticket price. 1808 Leeds Manor Rd., Delaplane, $60
