Where in NoVA Can Men Get Spa Treatments?

At these spas and salons, you can get a range of treatments designed with him in mind.

By Meredith Lindemon May 23, 2024 at 1:33 pm

Men like to relax and rejuvenate as much as anyone else. Fortunately, NoVA has spa treatments designed for the dude who wants to look and feel his best. Here are some of the places that offer everything from back facials to brow waxes.

Boardroom Styling Lounge

Work with your hands? Then try a healing paraffin hand dip at this pared-down Fairfax barber shop. The paraffin penetrates the skin, easing up callouses and hangnails, promoting circulation, and making hand cream go the extra mile. 2920 District Ave., Ste. 165, Fairfax

Dante Salon and Wellness Spa

The Gentlemen’s Executive Facial is a deep cleansing spa treatment that eliminates ingrown hairs, razor burn, congested pores, and rough patches. The facial starts with a deep cleanse, followed by a skin analysis and gentle exfoliation, a facial steam, pore extractions, then a customized treatment mask, and finishes with a facial massage. The whole treatment is capped off with a head and neck massage to ease tension. 3943 Old Lee Hwy., Fairfax

Grooming Lounge

Have a bushy ear situation going on? The Grooming Lounge offers a range of waxing options for brows, ears, and noses promising to remove hair that you think shouldn’t be there — or take it off if you don’t want it where it normally grows. Also, be sure to try the microdermabrasion facial that exfoliates and removes dry, dead skin cells on your face and neck. 2001 International Dr., McLean

Hammer & Nails

Looking for luxury? This men’s-only grooming salon specializes in hair and beards, specifically coloring salt and pepper strands to “turn back the hands of time.” Thinking of your actual hands? Try the Lux 24K hand and foot care. These 60-minute treatments use French lavender and 24k gold-infused products combined with a hot stone massage and a cooling CBD massage. A sugar scrub, paraffin treatment, and oil-infused steamed towels soften hands so you can pop your pinkies polish-free. 11830 Freedom Dr., Reston; 1610 Village Market Blvd., Leesburg; 13962 Promenade Commons St., Ste. B-2B, Gainesville

Men’s Spa and Barber

Look more Wookie than Han Solo? This is not an issue for the folks at Men’s Spa and Barber. Aside from shaves and haircuts, the classic barber shop offers arm, chest, and back waxing to relieve you of your fur in one slightly painful yank. 11830 Sunrise Valley Dr., Ste. 900, Reston

Shapes Salon and Day Spa

This salon and spa with two NoVA locations has a number of treatments designed for men. Its sport manicure and pedicure can’t be beaten at $20 and $45 each (not including tip) and promises to file ragged claws into perfectly buffed digits. There’s also a sport facial ($85) designed for active men to rejuvenate and freshen up the skin that’s a little less intense than its oxygen blast facial or its signature facial for men. And quicker, too. 4417 Chantilly Crossing Ln., Chantilly; 5622-K Ox Rd., Fairfax Station

Salamander Resort and Spa

Want to take a friend or significant other with you for a day of relaxation? Salamander offers couples massages that will let you bliss out in the lap of luxury while discussing the finer points of your poker game, the details of the last horse race, the batting average of your favorite player, or anything you care to talk about. 500 N. Pendleton St., Middleburg
