With spring continuing to bloom around Northern Virginia, it’s time to start preparing your home for the new season. Grab all your spring outdoor needs by visiting the 2024 Spring Garden Market at River Farm.
The annual plant and nature-inspired marketplace is set to take place on April 12 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. With over 2,000 attendees, this market is one of River Farm’s largest and most popular fundraisers.
This year, over 40 vendors will participate in the two-day event. The marketplace will be full of plants, seed and garden accessory retailers, nature-focused artists and authors, gardening experts, and food vendors. A limited number of wagons will be available to help carry your purchases, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own.
Tickets to the outdoor marketplace can be purchased either online or at the event. The entry fee is $5 for walkers and bikers, or $20 per car, which includes a parking fee and event entry for the driver and all passengers in the car. American Horticultural Society members and children 6 and younger can enter for free.
Proceeds from the Spring Garden Market go toward the maintenance, beautification, and preservation of the 25-acre River Farm, a historic site along the Potomac that also is the headquarters of the American Horticultural Society. 7931 E. Boulevard Dr., Alexandria
