DC Fashion Week returns to show off autumn and winter collections

Here’s what to expect on the runways at this year’s DC Fashion Week. Plus, a full list of events.

DMV locals who love fashion will be heading into the District and surrounding areas this week to scope out designers’ autumn and winter collections on the runway. That’s right: DC Fashion Week is back.

Beginning Thursday, Feb. 20 and running through Sunday, Feb. 23, DC Fashion Week consists of a fashion industry networking party; Washington menswear collections; a showcase of emerging designers; and The International Couture Collections Show, serving as the week’s finale. DC Fashion Week Fashion Industry Networking Party
Thursday, Feb. 20, 6-9 p.m.
Serving as the biggest networking opportunity of the week, this party brings together fashion industry individuals, such as bloggers, models, designers, photographers, journalists, makeup artists, stylists, agents, buyers and retailers. There will also be a special guest DJ. Must be 21 years or older to attend. // Felt Bar & Lounge: 101 MGM National Ave., National Harbor, Maryland; tickets for this event have sold out

The Washington Menswear Collections Presented by Magnum Underwear
Friday, Feb. 21, 8-10 p.m.
The standalone showcase for men’s fashion, The Washington Menswear Collections show will feature designers’ and brands’ upcoming collections. Designers include Ainsely & Troupe, Alex Risimnic Couture, Aramide Closet, EBannister Couture, Magnum Underwear and Obioma Fashions. // Doubletree by Hilton Hotel: 300 Army Navy Drive, Arlington; $30

DC Fashion Week Emerging Designers Showcase
Saturday, Feb. 22, 7-9 p.m.
Featuring emerging designer collections, as well as up-and-coming recording artists, this fashion show will include looks from African Fiesta Cafe, EJE Intl Designs, FAM Fashion LLC, Gabby’s World and Shey Natividad. // The Washington Court Hotel: 525 New Jersey Ave. NW, Washington, DC; $50

32nd International Couture Collections Show
Sunday, Feb. 23, 5-8 p.m.
Designers from around the globe will present their autumn/winter couture collections, including African Fiesta Cafe, Corjor International, Eileen L Bleyer Millinery, Irina Valery, DAM Fashions and Sappe Euro Custom Suits. Semi-formal attire is requested of attendees. // The Embassay of France, La Maison Francaise: 4101 Reservoir Road, Washington, DC; $150
