New development approved in Loudoun County; Self-driving shuttles coming to NoVA

The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors has approved a sprawling development for more homes, open space and land for an elementary school near two future Metrorail stations. The project is called Silver District West, and will be a 158-acre mixed-use community. (Loudoun Times-Mirror)

Self-driving shuttles will hit the streets in coming months. Fairfax County is working with the state of Virginia to launch an autonomous shuttle between the Dunn Loring-Merrifield Metro station and the Mosaic District. (WTOP)

Go Buses now offers service from Tysons to New York City. The Tysons stop is located at the Tysons Corner Metro Stop (Bus Bay A) and fares begin at $18 each way. (Fauquier Times)

The Alexandria Council voted unanimously to make a pay-by-phone parking pilot permanent, which allows residents in Old Town to petition for their block to have parking available through mobile apps. (Alexandria Times)
