An announcement that Crystal City will be one of the locations of Amazon’s HQ2 could come as early as Tuesday, according to The Washington Post. Crystal City and Long Island City in New York are the two cities that will split the new headquarters and the expected 50,000 jobs.

The first snow of the season could arrive on Thursday for some parts of Northern Virginia. The National Weather Service is calling for a wintry mix that can start as snow before turning to rain or sleet, with communities in Leesburg, Prince William and Warrenton expected to see some snow coating. This could be the first snow in a predicted snowier winter for the region.

Construction is set to begin this weekend at the King Street Metro station in Alexandria and is expected to have significant impact on those who use the station for commuting.
