Following the deadly shooting that took place in a Parkland, Florida school earlier this year, Fairfax County decided to take a look at the security of its own schools, leading them to recommend that $2.3 million-worth of improvements be made. Among the changes proposed at a Tuesday night public hearing: more school psychologists and social workers, replacing classroom locks and installing surveillance cameras. The Fairfax County School Board will vote later this month.

Of the creature’s 450 total bones, the museum has nearly half and will have to recreate the missing pieces. The exhibit will open on June 8, 2019.
