Code Orange air quality alert issued for the Metro-D.C. region; Area police launch ‘Move Over’ campaign

Sensitive groups should be cognizant of a Code Orange Air Quality alert today as the humidity will make the low- to mid-90s temperatures feel like they are in really in the low 100s.

According to the Commander of the Bureau of Field Operations Fairfax Division, Capt. James E. De Ford Sr., eight Virginia troopers were stuck by vehicles that did not move over into an adjacent lane while the officers were pulled off to the side in 2017.
