Through June 28
An exhibit of German-born Dutch photographer Annemie Wolff is on display through June 28 and features never-before-seen portraits of Jewish people living in South Amsterdam in 1943, three years into the five-year occupation of the Netherlands. // University of Mary Washington, College Ave., Fredericksburg

John Connolly he Book Signing
Monday, 7 p.m.
One of early Hollywood’s most famous stars, Stan Laurel, was recreated in a fictionalized story via John Connolly’s 2017 book he. Connolly will come to Arlington to sign copies and discuss the book, as well as show some Laurel & Hardy short films so that readers will be able to see the iconic duo on the screen. // One More Page Books: 2200 N Westmoreland St., Arlington

2018 Biennial Ikebana Exhibit
Tuesday-Sunday
Ikebana is the art of Japanese flower arranging, and for the 17th time, The Sogetsu School’s Washington, D.C. branch will house an exhibit at The Art League. Sogetsu members will select works of art by Art League artists to go along with their work for harmonious installations. In addition, an Art on the Rocks cocktail event will take place on May 4, and flower arranging demos will be given on Saturday and Sunday. // The Art League:  105 North Union St., Alexandria

Crystal City is kicking off summer a little early, launching its Friday at the Fountain pop-up beer garden a month earlier than it did in 2017. All-Ages Scavenger Hunt in Old Town
