Larry Nassar, the gymnastics doctor that has been accused of sexually abusing more than 150 women and girls, was sentenced to 40-175 years in prison on Wednesday by Judge Rosemarie Aquilina, who told Nassar “I just signed your death warrant.” Nassar must attend another sentencing in Easton County, Michigan next week.

The parents of 5-month-old Tristan Shulz, the little boy who was killed when an SUV driver struck him and his mother while they were crossing a street in Landsdowne, appeared in court on Wednesday. The Loudoun County School Board has approved a plan which will allow 92 percent of students (up from the present 89 percent of students) to take advantage of full-day kindergarten. The phase-in process will not include Creighton’s Corner, Hillside, Mill Run and Lucketts Elementary schools.
