Students in the South Lakes High School homecoming parade will raise money for the families of Barbers Hill High School students who are yet recovering from the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. The parade will begin Friday, Oct. 6 at 5 p.m. at the Hunter Woods Village Center and end at the high school between 6-6:30 p.m. Students will be carrying donation buckets as the parade makes it way down Colts Neck Road and South Lakes Drive.

Thursday morning, a deer crashed through a glass window at Gar-Field High School and became trapped inside a lower-level locker area. One student sustained minor injuries and the deer was later euthanized.
