One of Donald Trump‘s first acts as president was an executive order to freeze federal hiring. Republican Rep. Barbara Comstock and democratic Rep. Don Beyer are both critical of the order.

Arlington‘s bomb squad was called to the Americana Hotel in Crystal City after a report of a man who left several packages, which were deemed suspicious. Police later cleared the scene.

The Loudoun County Republican Committee criticized the Women’s March on Washington as “not for all women” but instead for “radical leftists and those who support abortion on demand.” Democratic chairwoman Phyllis Randall attended and supported the march but distanced herself from comments made by some of the event’s speakers.
