Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center gets new ownership and new stores
JBG Companies, owner of Potomac Yard Center, Tysons West and at least 40 other retail and mixed-use developments in Virginia, purchased Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center in December and has brought new life into the Woodbridge shopping hub. Seven new tenants now call the center just off I-95 home including Brew Republic Bierworks, Duck Donuts, BurgerFi, Sushi Jin Next Door, Lane Bryant and Massage Envy.

Loudoun’s Beaverdam Park closing
The largest lake in Loudoun County, which is used for boating, kayaking and nature watching, is closing for two years. Loudoun Water will partially drain the artificial Beaverdam Reservoir to make repairs to a spillway. The reservoir is expected to reopen in 2019 and will end up being larger. While more recreational uses are being looked into, the main purpose of the reservoir is for drinking water. The park will officially close on Nov. 1.

Smitten Salon owners branch into barbershops
Melanie St. Clair and Lisa Dahl, owners of the popular Smitten salons, are opening Hendricks Gentlemen’s Barbershop in Clarendon, calling it a high-end shop with an old-school feel. Services will include haircuts, beard trims and hot shaves.
