Whether new or old to the brewfest circuit, beer lovers alike will get to enjoy a brand new crafted beer designed uniquely for this year’s seventh annual NoVA Summer Brewfest in Leesburg.

For the first time the festival will be offering something brand new: a special beer created by brew masters Bret Kimbrough and Charlie Buettner from the Beer Joint in Leesburg (previously Vintage 50) and Mad Fox Brewery in Falls Church. The two have concocted a brew specifically for the weekend celebration which will be available to VIP ticket holders.

Not only will a new brew be featured, but event goers will be given the opportunity to watch cooking demonstrations by Joe Mariano and Elena Clement. Mariano is currently a part of the Culinary Education Company and the Guiding Knife.

This is the first year Mariano is taking part in the festival due to the collaboration with Port City Brewing Company, The Guiding Knife and himself. During the demonstrations, Mariano and other chefs will use recipes specifically designed with beer as a primary ingredient.

The event, which is expecting roughly 11,000 attendees, will offer a wide variety of beers from breweries from Alexandria to Vienna.

For those looking for some food in their stomach between samplings, food vendors will be cooking and creating fresh treats throughout the day for festival attendees.

Blue Ride Kettle Korn will be featuring their best kettle korn while Big Pan Parties’ will offer jambalaya and paella and ProShuckers will bring their shrimp and oysters fresh from the bay.

Craft shops Sharp Shirter, Troy Montana Jewelry and Aunt Becky’s Candle Shoppe will also have booths set up to sell products from their stores.
