3 Family Fun Spots to hit this Weekend

As the spring begins to heat up, get out of the house and to these local funlands.

Lately the weather has been so weird. Some days it’s warm enough to be outside and other days it’s too cold to get out of bed. Don’t let this in between weather keep you at home. As the spring begins to heat up, get out of the house and do some fun things with your kids. Spend your day at some great places that will allow your kids to run around and get their energy out. Here are three fun places to visit with your family:

 

House of Bounce

A 6,400-square-foot den of inflatable fun. This indoor play center offers super-sized inflatables, a game room, coffee lounge for adults and a private party room. The facility offers several private party packages for team events, birthday parties, church and corporate events. They also host lock-in’s with a minimum of 25 kids. The facility will provide the kids with snacks, bounce time, movie time, crafts and breakfast in the morning. In addition to this the House of bounce also has open bounce throughout the week. Great to help your kids bounce out all their energy.

Bug Box

A live insect zoo located in Fredericksburg. The zoo contains exotic insects, arachnids and crustaceans from around the world. The zoo will also showcase non-insect creatures like Sammy the Salamander, Fred the pet snake, two turtles—Big Boy and Toby—and frogs and toads. Not only will you get to see these insects, but will also get educated about them. The zoo will provide educational displays and bug shows so that you can learn about each insect that you see. Make the most out of your experience.

Central Park Funland

This indoor/outdoor family fun center has a variety of attractions, over 20 rides, go-karts, laser tag, bumper cars, indoor playground, rock climbing, the list goes on. The center is also equipped with a cafe, serving amusement park style food and a rest area with 5 LCD TVs for you to watch and relax.This is the perfect place to bring your children and let them exhaust all of their energy. Funland also provides packages and group rates for your parties and group outings.

Admission:

No admission fee required. All rides are under $5. Guest will need a Play Value card to load and re-load money on in dollar increments. You can pick these up at the front counter. Guests spend about $20-$30 in average per visit.
