A NoVA hospital has been ranked as one of the top 50 in the country. Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg secured the 43rd spot on Healthgrades’ recent rankings, placing it in the top 1 percent. This is the hospital’s first time in the top 50. It has made the list for top 250 best facilities for the past eight years.
Inova Alexandria Hospital landed in the top 100 at No. 71. Other Northern Virgnia hospitals in the top 250 are also part of Inova Health System — Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax and Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church.
Healthgrades, an online health provider resource, analyzed clinical outcomes data based on Medicare-patient records in 31 common conditions and procedures. The study included approximately 4,500 short-term, acute care facilities nationwide.
“While there are several factors to consider when looking for a doctor, hospital quality is one that can have a critical impact on a patient’s overall quality of care,” Dr. Brad Bowman, Healthgrades’ chief medical officer and head of data science, said in a news release.
