Passengers at Dulles International Airport will have a new lounge starting on Thursday.
The new 8,500-square-foot Capital One Lounge will provide a place to relax between flights, have a meal, and work.
“This new lounge at Dulles International is the culmination of great work to curate a customized space inspired by the airport’s world-famous mid-century modern architectural style. It’s the latest in a series of new amenities to provide a superior airport experience for our passengers,” said Jack Potter, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, in a news release.

For Capital One Financial Corp., this is its second lounge and it’s been three years in the making. Its first lounge is at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and opened in fall 2021.
Passengers will find the lounge just past the TSA PreCheck point. It offers lockers where you can store your coat or carry-on luggage.

Inside, you’ll find grab and go foods, a full-service coffee and pastry bar, places to sit (including kid-sized tables), workspaces, a parent’s room with changing table and bottle warmer, restrooms, healthy small-bite foods (salads, granola bowls, and juices), and a full-service bar.
The coffee bar will serve La Colombe cold brew on tap and drip coffee from Virginia-based Blanchard’s Coffee Roasting Co.

You’ll be able to have a beer from Ashburn-based Lost Rhino Brewing Co., Bee’s Knees cocktail from DC-based Bresca’s, or craft chocolates from River-Sea Chocolates in Chantilly.
The lounge will be open to all travelers for $65, but those with Capital One Venture X cards “can enjoy unlimited complimentary access, plus complimentary entry for two guests per visit — and special pricing of $45 per visit for additional guests,” according to Capital One. Venture and Spark Miles customers also get special access.
Those who have boarding passes for departing or connecting same-day flights can access the lounge up to three hours before their flights leave. The lounge will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
At Reagan National Airport, Capital One plans to develop Capital One Landing. Its food and beverage menu will be created by the award-winning José Andrés Group. No date for its opening has been set.
