Dr. Seuss Experience Makes Tysons Debut This Spring

Young or old, this event promises whimsy, nostalgia, and a chance to step inside your favorite stories.

By Molly Williams February 16, 2023 at 8:30 am

Remember the tales, full of rhymes and ridiculousness, that once ignited your young imagination? Or the colors and characters who navigated worlds you could only hope to visit? Now that wish can become a reality thanks to The Dr. Seuss Experience coming to Tysons Corner Center in April.

Opening its doors on April 7, guests will be able to explore the different worlds created in Dr. Seuss’ stories. The interactive exhibit will be open Thursdays through Sundays until Memorial Day weekend, with general admission tickets starting at $34 for anyone 13 and older and $29 for children between the ages of 1 and 12. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Thursdays through Saturdays the interactive experience will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will be open on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Children and adults alike can participate in themed activities, stroll through a balloon maze, and take in the stunning views of nine different imagined worlds brought to life. Life-sized iterations of The Lorax, Horton Hears a Who, and Oh! The Places You’ll Go, are just a few of the attractions visitors can look forward to exploring. According to a news release, the DMV location will feature the Stars Upon Thars Sneetches Mirror Maze, a brand new 1,300-square-foot attraction.

Storybook characters, like Cat In The Hat and Things 1 and 2, are around every corner, fully immersing guests in this otherworldly experience. So, whether you’re looking to see a real life Truffula Tree, hear a Who with your own two ears, or learn firsthand why the Grinch stole Christmas, there’s truly something for everyone. Here, you can give your kids a special day of memories, or just set your own inner child free.

You can preorder your tickets now. Tysons Corner Center is located at 1961 Chain Bridge Road in Tysons.
