A Moveable Feast
As a hardcore fan of chilaquiles–and as a vegetarian who can rarely find them without the classic component of chicken–I am following in Alice’s footsteps to Mex-Mart & Deli for a nice big cheesy spread of them. I’ll skip the steak, but add scrambled eggs. Mex-Mart doesn’t have seating, so I may be wolfing these down at my desk, but so be it. –Kelly Kendall, editor
Finding A Balance
I’ve been attempting to learn to ride a bike. I know, I know. But better late than never, right? I’ll be taking another lesson and hoping for the best in hopes of pedaling around the Mediterranean this fall. –Alice Levitt, food editor/critic
Pretty in Pink
Even though I’ve lived in the DMV my entire life, I’ve never made it down to the tidal basin to see the blooms in person. This year, I’ve decided to brave the crowds and head down to the National Cherry Blossom Festival to see what all of the fuss is about. –Michele Kettner, associate digital & research editor
All Aglow
The new Site See installation opens this week in Alexandria. It’s got neon pink lights, a kitschy, Bruce Nauman kind of appeal, and it’s on the waterfront, so it’s very photo-friendly. –James Finley, senior editor
