After being shut down for the 2020 summer season, Kings Dominion is finally opening its doors to guests. The amusement park will be reopening this December with Taste of the Season: An Outdoor Holiday Experience.
The festive food event will take place on various dates from Dec. 5-27. In order to attend the event, guests will need to purchase their ticket in advance. Season passholders will be able to start reserving tickets on Nov. 16; with single-day tickets available to the public on Nov. 18.
The holiday food event will be full of delicious dishes and activities for the whole family. Guests will be able to purchase a tasting card along with their tickets to sample some of the 25 different dishes and specialty drinks at the park; which includes hearty holiday chicken gumbo, southern fried pecan pie and Santa’s cookie and eggnog.
Those looking to partake in some holiday fun will love the live seasonal shows, holiday decor and the 16 open rides, from Planet Snoopy attractions to the adrenaline pumping roller coasters.
“This has been a challenging year for everyone, which is why we are ready and excited to welcome guests back to the park for some holiday cheer,” said Tony Johnson, vice president and general manager at Kings Dominion in a recent press release. “Kings Dominion has a comprehensive safety plan in place that has proven to be effective in all of our sister parks that were allowed to safely operate earlier this year. We can’t wait for families to return to the park and make treasured holiday memories safely.”
With the reopening of the park comes additional health and safety protocols to make sure all guests and staff stay during the holiday season. Guests will need to complete a pre-visit health screening, have their temperature taken before entering the park and wear face masks inside the park. The park has also implemented enhanced cleaning procedures in all bathrooms, dining facilities and high-trafficked areas and installed additional hand sanitation stations throughout the park. // 16000 Theme Park Way, Doswell
