The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is coming soon to the nation’s capital. In commemoration of America’s 250th Anniversary, a UFC Freedom 250 fight will be held on Sunday, June 14, in Washington, DC at 7 p.m. This event also takes place on President Trump’s 80th birthday.

A temporary area on the South Lawn of the White House will hold approximately 5,000 invited spectators.

Fight Schedule

The main fight card lineup includes seven fights:

  • Lightweight Title Bout: Ilia Topuria (Georgia) versus Justin Gaethje (U.S.)
  • Heavyweight Interim Title Bout: Alex Pereira (Brazil) versus Cyril Gane (France)
  • Bantamweight Bout: Sean O’Malley (U.S.) versus Aiemann Zahabi (Canada)
  • Heavyweight Bout: Josh Hokit (U.S.) versus. Derrick Lewis (U.S.)
  • Lightweight Bout: Mauricio Ruffy (Brazil) versus Michael Chandler (U.S.)
  • Middleweight Bout: Bo Nickal (U.S.) versus Kyle Daukaus (U.S.)
  • Featherweight Bout: Diego Lopes (Brazil) versus Steve Garcia (U.S.)

Preliminary rounds begin at 4 p.m., and the main card begins at 8 p.m. You can watch the fights on Paramount+ or on the UFC Mobile App.

The online UFC Store offers a lineup of UFC Freedom 250 fighter t-shirts, limited-edition event pieces, and fight night gear. A UFC Freedom 250 press conference will be held on June 12 at 8:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Memorial. The conference is free to the public.

Freedom 250 Fan Fest and Road Closures

On June 13 and 14, a UFC Freedom 250 fan fest will occur at the Ellipse, beginning at 3:30 p.m. on both days. Tickets are free, and people can request up to two tickets each. Requests will be selected by random drawing with email notification if ticket requests are fulfilled. Saturday’s event will conclude with a concert by Zac Brown Band at 9:30 p.m.

Construction on the UFC arena at the White House began during the weekend of May 23. According to the National Park Service, a temporary closure of certain roads and sidewalks is currently in effect until June 28, in conjunction with the UFC Freedom 250 event set-up. These closures include the entire Ellipse, E Street and its adjacent sidewalks from 15th–17th Streets, First Division Monument, State Place, Sherman Park, Hamilton Place, the White House Sidewalk, and Lafayette Park.
