Leesburg’s beloved Flower & Garden Festival, an annual celebration of springtime, is back for its 36th year. The festival runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 18 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 19.
The free festival takes over downtown Leesburg with several blocks full of vendors and activities. It typically draws “tens of thousands” of visitors each year, according to the Town of Leesburg.
You’ll find vendors selling plants, flowers, gardening supplies, and outdoor furniture and décor. Some exhibitors showcase stunning landscape displays and offer hands-on activities centered around gardening.
In addition to the garden-focused fun, the festival includes live music on three stages. Kids can enjoy arts and crafts, musical performances, and interactive games at the family-friendly area called the Garden Patch.

You’ll also find food trucks and vendors throughout the festival selling bites and refreshments like barbecue, fried chicken, and lemonade. Several area businesses also offer special menu items and discounts. Gruto’s Soft Serve, for example, will serve a limited-time cherry blossom soft serve, and 1757 Ink is offering flower-themed flash tattoos.
Hotel Burg is getting in on the festivities as well, with a floral design workshop with Jenn Pineau of Nature Composed on the hotel’s outdoor patio. It will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 18.
A rooftop beer garden will serve beverages from local breweries and wineries, including Bear Chase Brewing, Lost Barrel Brewing, and Fabbioli Cellars. The rooftop beer garden will also host live music both days from noon to 4 p.m.
Access to the rooftop beer garden is $17 for admission, including a souvenir glass and two tasting-size drink tickets. Additional drink tickets are $4 each.
