How to Celebrate the Holidays at Tysons Corner

Discover a season full of festive fun with new experiences, extended hours, and special events at Tysons Corner.

By Anjoleigh Schindler November 14, 2024 at 11:14 am

Tysons Corner is gearing up for its most exciting holiday season yet. This year’s lineup is packed with fresh, fun activities for families, community members, and shoppers to enjoy.

New This Year

Tysons Corner Center has added even more sparkle to the season, starting with the debut of the Walkable Light Experience on the Plaza, a partnership with George Mason University and Enchant DC. This installation features 11 interactive light displays designed to make the season bright.

For those wanting to meet Santa in a whole new way, the Signature Santa Experience introduces an upscale holiday lounge, complete with elves, Santa’s Wishlist, and new décor. Santa’s Chalet, now located on the Lower Level near Wasabi, offers families a cozy setting for the traditional photos with St. Nick.

And Santa won’t be confined to just his Chalet this year. As part of the I’m with Santa initiative, shoppers can find Santa making appearances throughout the center.

Events and Activities

Holiday Kick-Off Celebration

November 15, 6–8 p.m.

Come out for a grand celebration featuring Santa’s arrival, live performances, a fireworks display, and a holiday market. S’mores, festive drinks, and giveaways round out the night.

Pet Nights with Santa

November 18, 25 and December 2, 9, 6–8 p.m.

Sponsored by the Veterinary Emergency Group, your pets can be a part of the holiday magic and pose for photos with Santa.

Breakfast with Santa

Bring the whole family for a morning of holiday cheer, including a complimentary catered breakfast, activities for kids, and, of course, time with Santa. Space is limited; RSVP required.

Santa Cares: A Sensory-Friendly Experience

December 8, 9:30–10:30 a.m.

Tysons Corner Center is offering a special experience for children with sensory sensitivities to enjoy a relaxed visit with Santa in a calm, welcoming environment.

Extended Holiday Hours

Tysons Corner Center is also extending hours to accommodate your holiday shopping needs. The center will open earlier and stay open later with special holiday hours.
