Want a fun evening of art, wine, and mind-bending illusions? The Museum of Illusions in Washington DC will provide all three with its new Paint, Play, and Pour event series this year.

At these events, visitors will get a chance to participate in two hours of guided painting, led by DC artist Lina Alattar, and enjoy wine and socializing throughout the event. Visitors also get to tour the museum, which is full of interactive exhibits and optical illusions.

The events are catered to “art lovers, social butterflies, or anyone looking for a creative twist to their usual evening plans,” MOI said in a news release.

Paint, Play, and Pour will take place every Thursday from November 7 to December 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. Each week has its own theme.

  • November 7: Florals
  • November 14: DC Landmarks
  • November21: Abstract
  • December 5: Ornaments
  • December 12: Winter Wonderland
  • December 19: Ornaments

Tickets to the event are $50 per person; admission includes two glasses of wine.

The Museum of Illusions originally launched in 2015 in Croatia and has grown to open more than 40 locations around the world. The Washington, DC, location opened in late 2022.
